How Do I Know If I'm Having A Miscarriage?

Does bleading during pregnancy mean I am having a miscarriage?

One of the most common miscarriage symptoms is vaginal bleeding, both heavy and light. Blood clots or other signs of broken tissues also are signals or miscarriage symptoms.

There are many different symptoms miscarriage, and that is why it's not easy to immediately attribute vaginal bleeding with a miscarriage. For some women, the warning sign of miscarriage is a feeling that they are not pregnant anymore.

Other women miscarrying may experience cramps at various levels. Some women state that they feel minimal cramps, and some, very severe cramping

For some women, they experience both cramps and bleeding during a miscarriage. Some women describe the pain of miscarriage as similar to labor.

Usually, there is a continuous and slight vaginal bleeding during pregnancy, a sudden increase in the amount of bleeding could and should be taken as a possible miscarriage symptom, therefore you should seek urgent medical assistance.


During miscarriage, the duration of bleeding is different for every woman, but the bleeding should stop within about two weeks in most cases. Bleeding for a long period of time may mean an incomplete miscarriage. This can cause infection and should be communicated to your doctor to prevent any complications.
